Just to keep all voice club members and patrons up to date, my collection of 100 ‘flash’ stories has now been published and is available on Kindle and Amazon Books under the title ‘This, That & Many More’. Some of the tales have appeared in Voice Club competitions, but most have not.

Congratulations, Allan. That is quite an achievement. I look forward to checking it out!

That’s such an inspiration to all of us. By the way, was it difficult to publish on Kindle and Amazon Books?

Thank you Fuji.

Not too difficult once you get the hang of the cover. Kindle & Amazon is quite a good market place because if you search under the author’s name you get to see all the works available by him/her.

Congratulations! How are you advertising your new book? Are you reading parts of it on YouTube to tantalise your potential readers? Are you attending book fairs? Do you have an agent?
Well done! Gaun yersel! Tres bien!

Hello, Allan. I bought and read ”This, That & Many More” with a lot of interest. Your stories are very well written and very varied as to their content, style and setting. You have a thorough knowledge of several places in the world as well as a varied life experience. I’m impressed that you managed to write all those 100 stories in so few days. Congratulations to a fascinating and interesting book!

Firstly, my apologies for my tardy reply to your very kind comments, Christer, but I’ve been right out of it since mid-January. Your observations will certainly help the healing process, and, meanwhile I have the third of my ‘Tales of…’ series chomping at the bit! Thank you also for your purchase of my work.

I released an extended version of my anthology Tea Time: Tales for Any Taste. It includes a mixture of flash and micro fiction and poetry, like Allan’s some will have been seen on here, though in their original incarnations, not reduced to 350 words. Available on Amazon at the moment as ebook, paperback and hardback. Cover art designed by me too 🙂

Thanks, Thompson. If anyone does read it, I’d be so grateful for any reviews. It’s been a labour of love and, for indie authors, reviews mean so much as they are one of the best ways to make new sales. 🙂

Just wanted to let everyone know that ‘Leviathan’s Yellow’, and ‘Timmy’s Broken Crayon’ can be found on Amazon. These titles are fairly dark in nature. I’m just giving fair warning. They fall in the Novella category. I am currently working on part three, and it will be named: Orange, Red & Yellow. I also have a kid’s book published ‘Life Is Meant to Be Messy, Mom (You’re Not Doing It Wrong)’. I… Read more »

If you missed out on your own New Year’s Eve party, there’s still time to join Tyler’s. He’s my teenage protagonist in my novelette ‘New Year’s Eve’ available on Amazon Kindle and free if you have Kindle Unlimited. Here’s a brief summary: The party was going well… Laura, my sister, who had recently split from her fiancé, Brandon, was drinking herself into oblivion. Aunt Kate had become increasingly irritated with the attention… Read more »

It was quite a challenge to write in the point of view of a 17 year old boy, Thompson. I watched several episodes of ‘Love Island’ a reality series on TV and some of the dialogue may seem strange but it represents the phrases the young participants used! Overall, it’s a family related story, humorous in parts, poignant in others and, I hope, with a satisfying ending. I really hope you enjoy… Read more »

I read your novelette, Linda, and enjoyed it very much. It is a fun read, where drama and humanity are mixed in. I love your characters, the way you describe them, the story line, and the ending. You reveal the problematic relationships between some characters and their emotions in a way that makes it easy to get hooked up to the story. I thoroughly recommend it and congratulate you for a great… Read more »

Thanks Carrie. It doesn’t take long to fall to the bottom of the cliff, but it takes a darn sight longer to climb back to the top! Writing is still blanked off, though the ideas are there.

‘Dumpling’s Plucky Rescuers,’ the third book in the Beulah and Friends series, is now available on Amazon.com. It is, as the title suggests, a children’s book. Carrie O’Leary designed the delightful cover for me. I thought this would be the final book in the series, but when I see the beautiful covers Carrie designed, I get excited about writing more of the animal friends’ adventures. ?

Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!
