In Loving Memory
Romeo had curled up to sleep that afternoon. He awoke and the world was very different. He sat up, stretched and yawned, licked his paws and preened his whiskers.
He looked around in the soft, warm light of the day and noticed another two cats watching him, love in their eyes. “Gizmo, Teko? Is that really you. I haven’t seen you for so many years. I missed you when you went away.”
“We’ve been here waiting,” said Gizmo.
“Come,” said Teko, “Let’s go and chase butterflies.”
The three old friends raced happily across the Asphodel Meadows, together again at last.

Thanks Daisy, sometimes it’s nice to imagine a happy ending.
This is so moving, Carrie. And I like the happy ending.

I agree, Carrie.
Heartwarming story Carrie. I had to google the Asphodel meadows so learned something new today. Nicely done.

Carrie, this is so beautiful! I agree with you that it is lovely to think of them being reunited. This made me smile.
It’s lovely to think of my old boys being together again, but his two and four legged family still miss him and his twin sister has really noticed his absence ?
