I’m flying, soaring – free as a bird, light as a feather! Most fun I’ve had in years!
“I’ll take three of these.” The salesman’s overjoyed. My sisters will love this bold new path. I give him their addresses and arrange surprise deliveries.
“Brilliant move, Annie!” Zoe’s excited.
“Ready to ride, Annie?” Nola’s thrilled.
“Race you to work!” All three of us teach at the university, where parking is a headache. “You’re on,” is the dual reply.
The next day, we swoop into the parking lot on our powerful, elegant electric bikes, to a crowd of cheering students.
Good-bye fossil fuels.

Hi Carrie! This story was based on my own memories.. I got a gorgeous new non-electric bike at age 52 and suddenly was soaring, flying, having the time of my life. It is a fun read. You bring me to a fun ride using an Electric bike, Julie. I love how you told the story to us. I do love E-bikes for they are faster than bicycles and practical. Also, they provide a cleaner transportation option than a car for it is not using fuel so “Goodbye fossil fuels.”

I hope they start catching on and that people can find happy alternatives to driving cars everywhere. I know one twenty-something year old who drives a huge $80,000 SUV type vehicle to get to a store about four blocks from his home. YIKES!
