In my palace room, I sat on my bed. I’m a princess of this kingdom, yet I’m stuck in such an unattractive palace! Ugh! You know, since I have the time, I might as well do something for myself. Hmm, what do I need? Oh yeah, my blanket has been getting awfully bad, so I should get one of those. I wish I were my older sister, who gets everything as the eldest princess, but I guess I digress. Well, let’s go search the palace for a blanket!

Funnily enough, when I walked out of my room, no one was waiting for me, or even protecting my room. Maybe the guards were on break, I wasn’t sure, but it made my life easier. After all, I could freely roam without any of them trying to take away my freedom! So, as I wandered down the halls, the walls and passageways got more and more furnished till I arrived at the end of the hall, where the storage room sat. There stood a guard, blocking it. Now, all the stuff I needed was in there, so I just had to get in. I walked up to him and tapped him on the soldier.

“If you let me in, I’ll get you a raise.”

At this good news, the guard began to back away with money in his eyes, and I walked in behind him. Inside were riches galore, but I didn’t want any of that. I saw a nice, woolen blanket on the floor, so I picked it up and left. With a new blanket, I walked to my room and laid it on my bed. Now I can finally sleep in peace, in my bedroom in the palace. Ah, what a beautiful time it is, to be a princess with all my needs covered. I love my life, and I love to sleep.

A princess with very modest needs.Ty, I must share this with my five daughters who all think they are princesses and therefore entitled.

I absolutely love this story, Ty. Your princess is adorable – not interested in gold and jewels and all the riches of the kingdom. A nice woolen blanket will do, and a comfy bed. I too love my life, and love to sleep. Welcome to Voice Club, young Ty Grr. You’ve found a good home here.

Why do my friends need to SignIn to read the post I shared?

Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!
