I’m grateful that I was born on January 12th, 1998 at 10:15 pm. into the body of a beautiful little girl. My name, Niloofar, is a symbol of love and spirituality.

You gave me a family.
You made every cell of my body vibrate and you fed them.
You made my heart beat and made the stream of life run through my veins.

You made me grow and gave me wisdom and love.
You made our relationship so profound that I feel you in my life in the deepest way.
You painted our faces and designed our bodies.

You gave us parents, family, ،friends and lovers to not feel alone in this world.
You let us taste the bitter and the sweet and experience life.

You took my hand and showed me the most beautiful sights of the world – mountains, jungles, oceans and stars and opened my heart to the light.

You blessed us and granted us everything we wanted.
You fed us with many colorful fruit and delicious dishes.

Every time I talked to you, you answered through lines of a book, a song, nature or words of another person.
Every time I called you, you came to help and never left me alone.

You looked at us, talked to us and embraced us.

Oh so many nights I cried and you wiped my tears.
Everywhere I look I see you.

You heard my wishes and made them come true. You made me fall in love with you.
You showed me my true self. You made me fall in love with myself.
In every thing and every body, I found beauty. You made me fall in love with all there is.

I am grateful for every breath, every heartbeat, everything you did and didn’t give or even took away.

If we were to count our blessings every second of our lives, it still wouldn’t be enough.

As everything is always moving towards wholeness and truth, we have hope that our world is growing and evolving and there will be a happier place for all humans.

God,

I love you.

Your first entry is a very beautiful story, Niloofar. If we all gave thanks for our blessings each day, the world would indeed be a happier place for all humans. Welcome to Voice Club.

Congratulations for your play on the word “thanksgiving.” Is Niloofar a Persian word for lily of water? Welcome to Voice.Club.

Hello, Niloofar. Congratulations on your very powerful and uplifting first story. I do really love your story, Niloofar. I will surely vote for this. Thanksgiving for all that we have is the best thing we could ever give back to God. Keep on writing. And welcome to voice club.

Why do my friends need to SignIn to read the post I shared?

Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!
