Reflection
Evening has always been my time for reflection. A time to consider the day that has passed. Had my experiences been good, or had they left me wanting for more?
I think that is why I love the beach at this time of the day. I’m alone with that great expanse of sand and sea, with pebbles and shells to turn over and gather like memories to hold and cherish.
I catch my reflection in a pool of still water; not quite so alone after all. We stand, joined as one, and watch the sun dip lazily below the horizon.

Thank you for your kind comment, Margarida. I’m glad the words resonated for you 🙂
Very nice, Carrie. In this crazy world, there is often little time for reflection. Your story brings a sense of peace and I really enjoyed that walk along the beach.
