Sylvie Stories – 2. Seal of the Confessional
“Bless me Father, for I have sinned.”
We’re both delighted with my latest theft – an emerald bracelet worth 72,000 pounds. One of his penitents is a fence, who gets a nice cut. I get a new silk dress, Father Flannagan gets his favorite Belgian chocolates, and the rest goes to one needy head-of-household at a time, as they enter the booth.
“No one will starve this month.” Father’s blue eyes twinkle.
The Bishop notes the steady flow of people leaving the confessional with beatific smiles, and commends the good Father.
“A happy flock.”
“Thank the Lord.”
And thank Sylvie.

Echoes of Robin Hood here, Fuji! Rob the rich to give to the poor. It seems it won’t be just she who is torn if the love of her love ever learns her secret. Fab story.
Lets just hope her boyfriend doesn’t turn out to be like the Sheriff of Nottingham then!

Although stealing is one job that should not be proud of, but to the people she helps, it is an unparalleled virtue. But what if the love of her life found out her secret? Such a beautiful tale. I can’t wait for part 3. Very well done.
Wonderful part 2! Now even more I’m hoping the detective gets his woman – in the nicest possible way. Now… can I dare to hope for part 3?
Oh I’m so pleased with this part 2! I hope the Detective is understanding to Sylvie’s cause!

What a great, surprising and fun twist in this Sylvie-suite, Fuji! I love Father Flanagan and his weak spots for Belgian chocolate and his congregation (in that order?) and the conspiracy between him and Sylvie. He has an interesting life, juggling it between the detective and her passion.
Even more suspense! I love it and can’t wait for part 3!
