“Sylvie, you won’t believe this!” Rob pours an avalanche of envelopes onto my desk. Letters from the school board, the mayor, adoring well-to-do women …

I pretend to be astonished as he reads bits and pieces.

Glad you haven’t arrested “Robin”! His donations are saving our school.
Our town is thriving, thanks to the Gentleman Bandit. Long may he continue!

“Here’s my favorite.”

Curly black hair, smoldering blue eyes, perfect manners? Sounds like you, Detective!

“Too right,” I chuckle. “Time to confess, love.”

Rob smiles mysteriously.

“My hero!” I exclaim.

Funny, how a thief has gained acceptance, allure and a mystical status!

It almost sounds as if there has to be a 6th episode, Fuji, since we all now are wondering what’s going on with the detective and Sylvie. Are they both Arsène Lupins? Or did Sylvie fool people into believing that the thief looks like him? Anyway, the gratitude that is felt for the gentleman thief is touching. Great writing!

You make me smile and chuckle Fuji. What a nice turn of events. Like Christer, I am looking forward to episode 6. You really make me want more. Very well done.

Why do my friends need to SignIn to read the post I shared?

Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!
