‘Just a thought about that makes me confused. I need to take a stroll.’

Dusk was getting closer as the star sky was firing new mysteries. Empty streets appeared to be a perfect space for her dwelling.

‘I can’t lie to anyone, including myself, but that feeling is so unnatural to me.’

The wind was playing with her short, light hair and trying to blow the heavy perplexity away.

‘And I can’t touch him. But how is it possible to constantly ruminate over his actions if I’m indifferent towards him until I’m… Wait!’

The towering buildings were hiding in darkness, but the moon was illuminating their tops with silver shine.

‘I’m not supposed to feel anything for any of them. It’s just another trick from him! We need to talk. I have to come up with something to find out what is going on in his heart.’ Ideas were swirling in her mind.

‘I didn’t think I would see you here.’ Amber eyes were gleaming a few feet away from her.

‘What are you doing?’ Her chest started to make slight vibrations.

‘Why are you avoiding me?’ He was stepping closer to the answer.

‘What is the point of all of this? We’re incompatible!’ She turned her back to him and tilted her head down.

‘Listen… I guess we have the same wishes.’

‘Don’t you understand that our nature won’t allow us… Whatever… We can’t even touch each other!’ She was standing in the blue light of her wings, and sinking in desperation.

‘You know that I’m supposed to break rules.’ He took her hand. ‘See, nothing is happening.’ Both got electrocuted, and pungent pain was coursing in their veins, but no one showed that. ‘Just tell me this. Tell me the wish, and we’ll make it together.’

Her pale lips started to move.

‘I wish…’ Tension seized her vocal cords. ‘I wish… I just wish angels and devils could be together.’ The girl choked with tears.

Oh, so sad but I’m adding my wish that their love will conquer the rules and they can be together! You have set a wonderful scene and I especially liked ‘standing in the blue light of her wings’. Well done, Maria ?

You have written a unique story of the love between ones at opposite ends of the spectrum. I love these words, “the star sky was firing new mysteries.” Well done, Maria.

A warm welcome to voice club, Maria. Your story about the forbidden love of the two opposite people was so lovely. You showed how love conquers all. Very well done. I am looking forward to reading more stories from you.

Maria, I felt completely immersed in your story from the beginning! I enjoyed the build-up throughout the story to keep the readers waiting until the end as to why they couldn’t be together. It was truly delightful to read, Maria!

Why do my friends need to SignIn to read the post I shared?

Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!
