The Frozen Heart
It had begun in the Spring… their love affair. And just like the budding flowers, she had bloomed.
Spring led to Summer, and just like the sun, she shone from within… giddy with love!
But with Autumn came change. The season held no colour for her. And just like the leafless trees, she ached with loss.
Winter became her companion. The coldest season of all. And just like the snow that turned to ice, her heart froze.

Sadly true of so many promising love affairs and beautifully portrayed through the seasons. A wonderful story, Linda.

Great little story, Linda. It could almost be a prequel to my ‘Ice’ story from ages ago!
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Carrie. I had to revisit your ‘Ice’ story to re-acquaint myself. And, yes, I have to agree, this would make the perfect prequel!

A story, Allan, that I felt had no need for additional words. Everything that needed to be said had already been written. I loved the picture too, it was just what I’d had in mind. Thank you for your kind comments.
