Many people sat in the park during the fall days under the same warm sun and leafless trees. Every individual who spent the day sitting on the worn-out wooden bench noticed something about the surroundings.

The air was crisp and clear as the blazing orange sun began to peek over the horizon. The ground was covered in vibrant leaves, and the grass was moist and starting to turn a little brown. The only noises were the distant rumble of automobiles and the footfall of people going by. As the day went on, the light shone through the park’s tree branches, beaming down from the sky. It offered warmth like a blanket. The still-clear blue sky had recently started to cloud up in certain places.

Many people passed the old wooden bench that was in the midst of the park; some were rushing to get to school or work, while others were moving more leisurely while soaking in the stunning autumn scenery. A young woman could be seen running up to the wooden park seat. She swiftly stepped onto the seat with her left foot, which was still damp from the morning. She instantly knelt down and fastened her lace, which had fallen undone while she was racing. She quickly resumed her jogging through the park on the trail. Later that day, a new couple was strolling hand in hand along the trail. The sun was smiling down on them, keeping them warm from the chilly wind in the air as they strolled up to the old wooden park bench and took a seat.

The autumn arrives like a gospel choir, singing in unison to honour each colour and demonstrate how they complement one another.

Like Margarida, I love your last sentence, Dana, and I also felt like I was sitting right there observing. It reminded me of the film ‘Love Actually’ and the variety of characters passing through the airport. Well done ?

Welcome to voice club, Dana. Your description is so good that you really took me to the park while watching the people. After reading your bio, I was surprised to know that your first story is based on your dream. Well done on your first story. Keep on writing.

Why do my friends need to SignIn to read the post I shared?

Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!
