She Smiled
Her warm smile announced, “I love you.” Her comforting pats interpreted as “Always I will support you!” Her tears showed sadness for my troubles.
Harsh words were whispered about me until they became a torrent of accusations. My friends rushed away as though from contamination. She stood by me like a shiny shield. She swore to remain my forever friend.
In court, I was accused of horrid deeds- treason, murder, theft.
She smiled at me reassuringly then took the stand. My last hope smiled and pronounced me, “Guilty!”
It was then, I saw the truth in her judas janus smile.
