Beach on Summer Days
My whole family is excited about a summer vacation on a very magnificent white sand island. It was well-planned and organized.
The most awaited day had come. We traveled far from home.
When we reached the island, Mom called me and said, “Darling, run. Take a walk. Jump. Swim. Slide. Do what you want. If you need to roll, you roll and play chase on the beach.” Her words make me wonder, “Is mom okay? Am I free today? Will mom not look after me?”
While enjoying the breeze I whisper to myself, “Oh! Summer feels so good. And it is nice to watch the sunset and the sea.” And as I look at the sea the wave seemed to be waving and saying, “Come! Embrace me. And I’ll take care of you.”
I go to Mom and wiggle my tail but she ignores me. I go to Dad but he also ignores me. So I run, swim and play alone and it makes me feel so happy.
I don’t want to end this summer with sad memories.

Such a sweet tale, Lotchie. My dogs wouldn’t let me lie in the sand for the day. I’d have real sand sandwiches, gritty soda and would probably end up buried alive as one of them really likes to dig. It makes me a little sad that his mom and dad ignore him, but hope he enjoyed the day at the beach regardless. Well done.
Thank you so much, Carrie, for reading and commenting on my humble story. That part makes me feel sad too. It just happens that Mom and Dad are just a little bit busy preparing their food for lunch. But the entire beach vacation ended up happily.

I was left hoping that nothing was wrong with Mom or Dad to mar this pet’s future. A lovely story, Lotchie! 😊
