One of the many happy memories of my grandson, Harry, who flew to heaven age 13. Harry loved the tv show ‘Mr Selfridge’ and that afternoon, along with his mum, we took afternoon tea at the store just before Christmas.
Harry is holding a leaf he found in Hyde Park.

Thank you Daisy, it was a very happy day and I miss Harry every single day.
Hello Linda, I was drawn to the leaf straight away, not knowing what it was, so I was glad that you mentioned it, as it says a lot about the person Harry was. Thank you Linda for sharing a happy moment with everyone. (PS – did manage to see the film)

He would have been 18 in June and his mum has organised a charity event in the local park, in his memory, with proceeds being shared between the charities that Harry supported. Cats Protection being the closest to his heart. I hope you enjoyed the film, Bette Davis is my favourite actress, no-one like her… Read more »

It’s great to read that Harry got to go to the store from his favourite TV show, and reading your comments to Eric, that his mother is helping charities in his honour. A remarkable young man and a remarkable family! Thinking of you ?

She is far more remarkable than me with a strength that continues to astound me. Thank you so much for your kind words Sandra.
Linda, I mentioned in a response to Eric Radcliffe about losing my only brother many years ago and he very kindly reminded me that through my writing my brother’s memory lives on. His words (just two days ago) have inspired me to go forward with some things I’d had in mind. It’s cathartic and a wonderful way to honour my brother (Ian). I am sure it will be the same for you.… Read more »
I’m so sorry about your loss Sandra. Eric’s words are indeed a comfort. I’ve recently finished a story I’ve been working on for a couple of years now and the MC is a 17 year old boy. I’m 100% sure Harry has influenced me as there are many familiarities between Harry and ‘Tyler’ in my story. I’m hoping to self publish this year and the book will be dedicated to my wonderful… Read more »
