Harry and His Leaf

One of the many happy memories of my grandson, Harry, who flew to heaven age 13. Harry loved the tv show ‘Mr Selfridge’ and that afternoon, along with his mum, we took afternoon tea at the store just before Christmas.
Harry is holding a leaf he found in Hyde Park.

He had a beautiful smile. It’s really hard to live without our loved ones, but we have to focus on the sweet memories, like this one is for you.

I know how you miss Harry so much, as he is so dear. But we should look back on the sweet memories like this to wash away the pain and bereavement.

Hello Linda, I was drawn to the leaf straight away, not knowing what it was, so I was glad that you mentioned it, as it says a lot about the person Harry was. Thank you Linda for sharing a happy moment with everyone. (PS – did manage to see the film)

It’s great to read that Harry got to go to the store from his favourite TV show, and reading your comments to Eric, that his mother is helping charities in his honour. A remarkable young man and a remarkable family! Thinking of you ?

Linda, I mentioned in a response to Eric Radcliffe about losing my only brother many years ago and he very kindly reminded me that through my writing my brother’s memory lives on. His words (just two days ago) have inspired me to go forward with some things I’d had in mind. It’s cathartic and a wonderful way to honour my brother (Ian). I am sure it will be the same for you.… Read more »

    Sharing a Post

Why do my friends need to SignIn to read the post I shared?

Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!
