Actually, this is a voting security feature. During public voting, only club members can read posts submitted for that contest. Since anyone reading the story is able to vote (click the Like button), we reserve these capabilities to members who SignIn. Before we implemented this security feature, people were voting multiple times and making the public voting process unfair and out of balance. To fix this, our staff finally decided to allow only members who SignIn to read the stories. Membership is free and easy, and ensures our club is safe, secure, and family-friendly!

He is, he’s always known to be gentle with the animals.
Bumbersnoot and Jacob look so cute together. I love the name Bumbersnoot.

I think that animals have a great connection with kids, something magical and pure. Cute picture!
I think animals teach children how to be gentle and compassionate. It helps give them a sense of responsibility if they have to consider something else before themselves.

Thanks Lotchie, Bumbersnoot was a real little cutie. I’m glad Jacob had the chance to meet him.

He certainly is. I can’t believe he starts school in September ?
Adorable 🙂 and I learnt something new today. I’d never heard of a degu so, of course, asked Mr Google! My children had guinea pigs and I loved them.

To Leave Comments - Please SignIn with GoogleThanks Sandra. Degus are cute and make awesome pets. Bumbersnoot was my little kitchen buddy. I had him for about six years and he was three when we got him, so they are quite long lived for a small animal.
What a lovely picture Carrie, he looks like he saying – I’m not giving him back!
He always looks so adorable when he’s around animals. He’s had the benefit of growing up with dogs, cats and rats as pets. He’s learned when he needs to be gentle ?
